In 2011, CHICHÉ Architectes SA won the 1st prize for the renovation project of the Vallée de la Jeunesse school and sports complex. In 2019 the 2nd stage of the works was completed. Indeed, it reproduces the sound of rushing water and thus remind us of the river Flon which was buried under a filling during EXPO ’64 in Lausanne. The architects, accompanied by the artist Rudy Decelière, developed a sound and visual system integrated into the laminated glass panels SWISSLAMEX COLORDESIGN Type Y (with black interlayer) in form of sound diffusers called “piezos”. The different sizes of points represent a stylised wave. The implementation of these panels composing the 690 m² facade for this innovative project was possible thanks to the competence, know-how and availability of Glas Trösch.
