Guardian Glass Project: Dickens Yard

For the glazed façade, the architects wanted a neutral appearance so that the glass would blend in well with the surrounding historical buildings and also required glazing that would provide excellent solar control.

Guardian Glass Project: Dickens Yard

Set in the heart of Ealing town centre, just a short walk from Ealing Broadway Station, are the Vista Apartment residences at St George’s contemporary Dickens Yard development.

Here, the landscaped gardens and contemporary architecture blend in with Ealing’s green spaces and historical landmarks. The apartments offer views of Victoria Square and Ealing’s 19th century Parish Church.

For the glazed façade, the architects wanted a neutral appearance so that the glass would blend in well with the surrounding historical buildings and also required glazing that would provide excellent solar control.

Guardian SunGuard® SuperNeutral® (SN) 70/41 (now superseded by Guardian SunGuard® SN 70S) on Guardian ExtraClear® float glass was selected for solar protection on a neutral-looking glass.

With a low g value of 39% and a light transmission of 70%, Guardian SunGuard SN 70S provides the perfect balance between solar control, light transmission and thermal insulation, keeping the residents comfortable at all times.
